Gagaramusu, (2) Khairunnisa. This research examines factors influencing second-grade students' discipline in learning to read at SD BK Jonooge. Discipline in learning to read represents a crucial component of primary education; however, many Indonesian students, including those at SD BK Jonooge, face reading challenges stemming from insufficient disciplinary practices during early learning stages. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, which collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation, with research participants comprising second-grade students, teachers, and parents. Findings revealed that discipline in reading is shaped by internal factors (student awareness, interest, motivation, and mindset) and external factors (family, school, and community environments). The family context and teachers' implementation of engaging instructional methods significantly impacted student discipline in learning to read. The study concludes that enhancing discipline in learning to read necessitates collaborative efforts among students, families, schools, and community stakeholders.
