Inaya Wulandari. 2024. Improving the Learning Outcomes of Science Students of Grade IV of SDN 2 Sindue Tobata Through an Environmentally Based Scientific Approach. Thesis of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Department of Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Advisor: Pahriadi, S. Pd., M. Pd Learning in the 21st century is designed based on a constructivist contextual learning approach. Through this design, fourth grade students of SDN 2 Sindue Tobata will be accustomed to building their own knowledge based on real contexts that are meaningful to them through scientific activities such as observation, experiments, observations, or conducting information gathering activities from various sources through interviews or other similar activities. The research method uses the Hopkins model design, which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The place of the research was at SDN 2 Sindue Tobata, the research subjects were 12 students, consisting of 10 male students and 2 female students. The data collection technique used the observation and test methods. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the study showed that the increase in student activity was 15.33%, in cycle I the category was sufficient (71.33%), increasing in cycle II the category was very good (86.66%). The increase in teacher activity was 14.66%, in cycle I the category was good (76%), and in cycle II the category was very good (90.66%). Data on student learning outcomes for classical absorption capacity (DSK) pre-action (57.50%), cycle I (74.14%) and cycle II (85.83%) increased by 11.69%. For classical learning completeness (KBK) pre-action (41.66%), cycle 1 (75%) and cycle II (100%) increased by 25%. Based on these results, it is concluded that the application of an environment-based scientific approach can improve activity and learning outcomes in class IV SDN 2 Sindue Tobata.
