Abstrak
Milka (2021). Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Civics Subjects Through Contextual Approaches in Class IV SD Inpres No. 2 Pakuli. Thesis of Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Department of Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Supervisor: Rizal. This research is a Classroom Action Research, which has two cycles and has 4 stages, namely (a). Planning (b). Action Implementation (c). Observation and (d). Reflection. This action research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Civics learning in Class IV SD No. Presidential Instruction. 2 Pakuli. The problem studied is the low learning outcomes. The problem-solving effort used is by using a contextual approach. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SD Inpres No. 2 Pakuli, totaling 29 people. Data were collected through teacher and student activity sheets and action test results. The results of the research in the first cycle showed that the percentage of classical absorption capacity (DSK) of students was 58.24% and the percentage of classical learning completeness (KBK) was 35.13%. While in the second cycle, the percentage of classical absorption power (DSK) was 89.05% and the percentage of classical learning completeness (KBK) was 97.29%. Based on the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes in Cycle I and Cycle II, there was a significant increase in DSK, an increase of 30.81% from cycle I of 58.24% and cycle II of 89.05%. Likewise in the KBK there was a very significant increase, which was 62.16% from the first cycle of 35.15% and the second cycle of 97.29%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that applying a contextual approach can improve student learning outcomes. In addition, the author's suggestion is for teachers: hopefully this contextual approach can be a reference in improving student learning outcomes at SD Inpres No. 2 Pakuli. For students: hopefully by using this contextual approach students become more active in the learning process. In addition, through this method students become more independent. For schools: the lack of learning media results in a lack of quality education. For this reason, it is hoped that the attention of the school will pay attention to the media that is needed during the learning process.
