The problem in this research is whether the Snow Ball Throwing type of cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students in social studies subjects at SDN 7 Palu? The purpose of this research is to find out whether the cooperative learning model is snow ball throwing type can improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students in social studies subjects at SDN 7 Palu. This research is a class action research conducted at SDN 7 Palu, involving 31 students consisting of 12 men and 19 women registered in the 2020/2021 school year. This study used kemmis and Mc. Taggart's research design which consisted of two cycles. Where in each cycle two meetings are held in the classroom and each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that in pre-action the percentage of classical absorption reached 46.45% and classical learning completion was 38.71%. The results of the first cycle of action showed that the percentage of classical absorption reached 67.10% and the completion of classical learning reached 74.19%. The results of cycle II action show that the percentage of classical absorption reaches 82.90% and completeness classical learning 93.55%. This means that learning in cycle II has met the success indicators with a minimum classical learning completion of 80% and a classical absorption percentage of at least 65%. Thus, it can be concluded that learning using the Snow Ball Throwing type of cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in social studies subjects in grade IV SDN 7 Palu.
