Abstrak
This study aims to describe errors in concepts, facts, principles and skills based on the thinking skills of fifth grade students of SD Inpres 6 Lolu in solving multiplication problems of fractions. This research is a descriptive qualitative research based on the problem solving steps proposed by Polya. The research subjects were taken 6 students based on the level of thinking ability determined using the calculation of the Standard Deviation (SD). Data collection methods used are test and interview methods. The results of the study can be concluded that the errors made by students based on the level of thinking ability are 1) Fact errors in the step of understanding the problem, students make mistakes in changing what is known in the problem into mathematical form, writing errors in what is known on the problem, not writing down what is known and incomplete writing of the questions asked in the question; 2) Concept errors in the planning step, students did not write the formula and were wrong in determining the formula used to solve the problem; 3) Skill errors in the steps of implementing the plan, students wrongly doing calculations and determining the results of the settlement, errors entering what is known in the problem into the solution, incompletely writing down the completion steps; 4) The principle error in the step of checking again, students are wrong in using arithmetic operations.
