Social Science Education Department. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Nurvita The research objective is to determine the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning model and students' perceptions of its application in geography learning. It is qualitative descriptive research that took place at SMA Negeri 2 Palu. The data was collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The implementation of the Project-Based Learning model used by the teacher in class XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Palu obtained 87.5?sed on the analysis of student activity observation results, and the teacher's activity obtained is 90% with the category carried out very well. The analysis student response questionnaire related to the interaction during the Project-Based Learning model implementation received an 86.41% response rate. Group 1 received scores of 86.6 on the project evaluation, while Group 2 received 93.3. The Project-Based Learning model was well implemented, and it received positive responses from students with satisfactory learning outcomes, allowing the learning objectives to be met and effectively applied in the current new normal covid 19 conditions.
