Supervisor: Abdul Hamid The research problem is “how is the geography teacher's strategy in shaping student character based on the 2013 curriculum?. The research aims to determine the strategy of the geography teacher in shaping students’ character based on the 2013 curriculum.This was a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques covered data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the teacher's strategy in shaping the character of students based on the 2013 curriculum, namely: (1) exemplary, showing attitudes and behavior in speaking well and dressed politely and neatly (2) disciplinary enforcement, by admonishing, warning, and giving punishment which educates students who make mistakes (3) habituation, in saying greetings, praying before and after carrying out learning activities, asking permission from the teacher if they want to leave the classroom, and carrying out the midday prayer but there are still many students who ignore it and the teacher is not too direct students to do it (4) create a conducive environment, by cleaning the school yard, throwing garbage in its place, sweeping the room, watering flowers and tidying books in the library (5) integration and internalization, through sports extracurricular activities.
