This research aims to describe the professional competence of Geography teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Tojo, Tojo district, Tojo Una-Una regency ( A Case Study of Teachers of Non-Geography Education Background ). This was a qualitative research with descriptive approach using a survey method. The research subject were three geography teachers where do not come from geography education beckground. The research findings show that professional competence of geography teachers in mastering the material, structure, concept, and mindset supporting geography are categorized good (58%); mastering structure of competence and basic competence for geography subject is categorized (69%); developing subject material taught creatively is categorized good enoough (50%); developing professionalism sustainable by conducting reflective action is categoorized good enough (33%); untilizing information tecnology and comunication to develop theirself is catogorized good enoough (50%). |
