Abstrak

Skripsi, Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Supervisor: Dwi Septiwiharti. This study aims to describe: (1) The role of PPKn teachers in improving students' critical thinking skills in facing the challenges of socio-cultural dynamics in the digital era at MTs Negeri 1 Donggala (2) Effective learning strategies applied by teachers to improve students' critical thinking skills in facing the challenges of socio cultural dynamics in the digital era. The subjects of this study consisted of 22 people including the Principal, 1 PPKn teacher, and 20 class students. The research method used was qualitative by using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The role of teachers in improving students' critical thinking skills in MTs Negeri 1 Donggala is as a facilitator, as a mentor, as a motivator and as an evaluator. (2) Effective learning strategies applied by teachers to improve students' critical thinking skills in facing the challenges of socio-cultural dynamics in the digital era at MTs Negeri 1 Donggala are problem-based learning using discussion methods and collaborative learning and the use of technology.
