Abstrak This research aims to (1) explain the strengthening of school culture and family environment in developing the character of eleventh-grade students in Agriculture class at SMK Negeri 1 Toribulu, (2) describe the factors that hinder the strengthening of school culture and family environment in developing the character of eleventh-grade students in Agriculture class at SMK Negeri 1 Toribulu, and (3) explain the efforts of the School Principal, teachers, and families in shaping the character of eleventh-grade students in Agriculture class at SMK Negeri 1 Toribulu. Qualitative research aims to provide detailed and comprehensive insights into the researched object. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Toribulu, located at Jln. Tolomolou, Sienjo Village, Toribulu Sub-district, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, postal code 94461. The research was conducted from January 25, 2022, until completion. The researcher collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation. According to the research results, (1) the school culture at SMK Negeri 1 Toribulu is very supportive and oriented toward character development, which in turn aids in the growth of students' interpersonal and leadership skills and their sense of personal responsibility. Families provide support and guidance with positive values, similarly influencing students' character. However, students' families continue to lack collaboration and communication with the school, resulting in some students' partial compliance with school rules. (2) Obstacles, bad influences from media and technology, and family economic instability are all factors that might impede students' character formation. (3) The school principal, instructors, and student's families all play important roles in helping students develop their character in school. They have the potential to have a beneficial effect on pupils and to establish an upbeat and collaborative atmosphere in the classroom. Keywords: school culture, family environment, character |
