Abstrak The problems in this study are (1) how is the development of the Popene'e traditional tradition of the Lauje Tribe in Palasa Tangki Village? (2) what is the procedure for implementing the Popene'e traditional tradition of the Lauje Tribe in Palasa Tangki Village? (3) what are the values of local wisdom contained in the Popene'e traditional tradition of the Lauje tribe in Palasa Tangki Village?. This study aims, namely (1) to explain the development of the Popene'e traditional tradition of the Lauje Tribe in Palasa Tangki Village (2) to describe the procedures for implementing the Lauje tribe's Popene'e traditional tradition in Palasa Tangki Village (3) to describe the values of local wisdom contained in this study. Popene'e tradition in Palasa Tangki Village. This study uses a qualitative research methodology with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were traditional leaders, religious leaders, community leaders and village government. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of the study show that the Popene'e traditional tradition of the Lauje tribe has existed in the community for a long time, this tradition was born during the traditional reign. Traditional government is a system of government in which adat plays an important role in people's lives and government structures. Popene'e traditional traditions continue to develop over time. The development of the Popene'e traditional tradition began from 1997 to 2020 where there were changes in the Popene'e traditional tradition. changes are seen in the tools and materials used, technological advances but do not change the procedures for implementing the Popene'e traditional tradition. It is proven that the customary practice is still being carried out to this day as an inseparable part of the life of the Lauje people. The Popene'e traditional tradition consists of a series of stages, namely Monyambut Pangtin, mombiase ayu, mokologe niu, monesege long pensa, mopounja, Mengkoni Alat Tuwahu Jopa Mongahu Pensa, mopapaanage, mombaca salamat, and mopooto. The value of local wisdom in the Popene'e traditional tradition is in the form of values of knowledge, ethics, morals and law as well as norms in society. The value of knowledge means that the community knows about the procedures for implementing the Popene'e tradition, knows the symbols and meanings at each stage of the process in the Popene'e traditional tradition as part of the community's beliefs. The learning values are in the form of togetherness, kinship, mutual respect, mutual cooperation, and belief in God Almighty (Allah Subhanahu wataala). Keywords: Tradition, Custom, and Popene'e |
