The problems in this research are, (1) how is the strategy of class management in history subject to improve student learning outcomes; (2) what are the classroom management problems encountered by the teacher, and (3) what are the factors that support classroom management strategies in history subject to improve learning outcomes of the grade XI IIS-1 in SMA Negeri 1 Sindue. Efforts to overcome these problems are by conducting research that aims to find out how teachers implement classroom management strategies to improve student learning outcomes. This research employed a qualitative method. The interview data were analyzed qualitatively and descriptively through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results indicated that the teachers have implemented a classroom management strategy quite well. The teachers of history as educators have carried out effective learning and they are able to control the class to support better learning outcomes. The teachers face problems deals with students’ different attitudes, such a domineering, annoying, and bored students resulting in chaotic class, and difficulty to control the classroom. The factors that support class management strategies in history subject covers curriculum as a vital part of class management as a reference for teaching and learning activities and to know the goals to be achieved in learning.
