The kersen plant ( Muntingia Calabura L. ) are plants that have many health benefits, including treating gout, diabetes, and lowering cholesterollevels. The leaves of the kersen plant contain several chemical compounds, including tannins and flavonoids. This study aims to determine the levels of tannins and flavonoids in cherry leaf extract. Cherry leaves are extracted using the maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent. Determination of tannin levels using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 742,5 and determination of flavonoid levels using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 445 nm. The analysis showed an average tannin content of 9,3% and a average flavonoid content of 90,9 mg/100g. |
