Abstrak
This study was conducted to describe the critical thinking skills of students after the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted with interactive multimedia in the Electrolyte and Nonelectrolyte Solution materials of Class X IPA at SMA Negeri 6 Palu. This study was a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study consisted of 18 students from Class X IPA 2 as the experimental class 1 and 20 students from Class X IPA 4 as the experimental class 2. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Three indicators of critical thinking skills were measured: interpretation, analysis, and inference. The results showed that the values of the interpretation, analysis, and inference indicators in experimental class 1 were 93.98%, 57.46%, and 57.98%, respectively. In experimental class 2, the values were 90.62%, 58.13%, and 59.89%, respectively. These two experimental classes indicated that the interpretation was the highest value indicator of critical thinking skills. Data analysis was performed using the N-gain test, and the N-gain of experimental class 1 was 0.62, while that of experimental class 2 was 0.64, meaning that they were in the medium category.
