Abstrak Metals has an important role for human life, especially in the industrial field. The purpose of this research is to identify the metals type and their content in by product rock from the Poboya gold mining. The sampling technique is done by grabbing sampling, which is to take a lump of rock at a mining site. The analytical method used to identify the metals type and determine their content in by product rocks is XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) spectrophotometry. Based on the analysis results, by product rocks from the Poboya gold mine consist of Silicon (Si), Iron (Fe), Potassium (K), Aluminum (Al), Calcium (Ca), Titanium (Ti), Arsenic (As), Zirconium (Zr), Manganese (Mn), Strontium (Sr), Barium (Ba), Rubidium (Rb), Zinc (Zn), Niobium (Nb), Indium (In), Tin (Sn) and Stibium/Antimony (Sb). The highest percentage of metals are Silicon 52.98% and Iron 23.56% or as oxide compound silica oxide (SiO2) 67,76% and iron oxide (Fe2O3) 14,15%. Therefore, it is recommended in further research for utilizations of the rocks. |
