Fatma, 2020. "The Effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model of Student Learning Outcomes on Reaction Rate Material in Class XI of SMA Negeri 5 Palu". Bachelor Thesis. Chemistry Education Study Program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, Palu. Supervisor: Ratman. This study aimed to determine whether the problem-based learning (PBL) model can influence the student learning outcomes in the reaction rate material at class XI SMA Negeri 5 Palu. This type of research was a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control nonequivalent design. The sample used in the study was students of class XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class (n = 26) and class XI MIPA 4 as a control class (n = 26). The testing student learning outcomes data used a statistical analysis of the right-hand t-test with prerequisite tests: normality test and homogeneity test. The results of data analysis obtained, the average value of the experimental class was 73.23 with a standard deviation of 15.84 and the average value of the control class was 43.42 with a standard deviation of 13.01. Based on the results of the hypothesis, the testing with one-party t-test statistics obtained that tcount> ttable which was 7.32 > 1.67 with a significance level ? = 0.05 and a degree of freedom 50, then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. So it can be concluded that the problem-based learning (PBL) model of the reaction rate material gives a better influence on the learning outcomes of class XI students in SMA Negeri 5 Palu.
