Abstrak Efi Pujianti Pustpita Dewi, 2020. The Implementation of Guided Inquiry Learning Model to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Ability on Reaction Rate Material in SMA Negeri 1 Rio Pakava. The main objective of this research was to find out whether the application of a guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on the reaction rate material at SMA Negeri 1 Rio Pakava. This type of research was pre-experimental research. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, where class XI IPA 2 as the experimental class 1 and XI IPA 3 as the experimental class 2. To measure students' critical thinking skills, the instruments used were critical thinking skills tests and observation sheets. Based on the data obtained, the critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class 1 was 44% which was in the very high category. About 36% of students included in the high category and 20% of students included in the medium category. Whereas for experimental class 2, students' critical thinking skills were 52% which students included in the very high category. About 24% of students included in the high category and 24% of students included in the medium category. In addition, the N-Gain test resulted that the average for experimental class 1 was 0.75 (the high category) and experimental class 2 was 0.77 (the high category). These results show that the application of the guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on the reaction rate material.
