ABSTRACT Musfira Safari, 2019. "The Implementation of the Project-based problem-based learning model towards the Critical Thinking Ability of Class XI Students on the subject of Acid-Basis Titration in SMA Poso 1 Poso". Essay. Chemistry Education Study Program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Supervisor Dra.Hj.Sri Mulyani Sabang. This study aims to determine the students' critical thinking skills through the application of the project-based problem based learning model towards the Critical Thinking Ability of Class XI Students in the subject of Acid Bases Titration in SMA Negeri 1 Poso. The research design used is one group pretestposttest design. Research instruments in the form of lesson plans, critical thinking tests, LKPD and observation sheets that have been validated. Data analysis on critical thinking skills was carried out using a rubric with three indicators namely interpretation, analysis, and inference. The results of data analysis for students' critical thinking skills for indicators of interpretation, analysis, and inference in the pretest in the experimental class were 17%, 23%, and 16%, respectively; while the control classes are respectively 14%, 7%, and 30%. The results of critical thinking skills at the posttest obtained in the experimental class for indicators of interpretation, analysis, and inference were 73%, 73%, and 73%, respectively; while the control was 63%, 56% and 74%. The results of students' critical thinking skills with an average of critical thinking skills in the experimental class is 73% and in the control class is 64.3% while both are included in the category of moderate critical thinking. The conclusion of this study is that students' critical thinking skills with the application of the project-based problem based learning model are included in both categories.
