| Abstrak The skin of Phaleria macrocarpa has an active compound namely alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins. The compound are toxic, capable of killing Aedes aegypti mosquitoes which play a major role in the transmission of Dengue Fever (DBD). This study aimed to determine the concentration of the extract of the Phaleria macrocarpa skin that is most effective in killing Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. This research was conducted by the extraction method by maceration the Phaleria macrocarpa skin. Testing of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes used variations in concentration of 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60%. Test animals test used as many as 360 animals which aged 4-5 days the animals tasting were divided into 6 treatments, each treatment consisting of 20 animals. The most effective concentration of Phaleria macrocarpa skin’s extract to kill Aedes aegypti was at a concentration of 50% with a percentage of mosquito deaths 45% of all test mosquitoes. |
