| Abstrak The objective of this research is to describe the understanding of concepts and the level of understanding of students' concepts on static fluid material. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research was students of class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 2 Pasangkayu. The subject was selected by using purposive sampling with 5 respondents. The research instrument used to collect the data was 11 multiple choice numbers accompanied by CRI to determine the level of confidence of the research subjects in answering the questions. Based on the results of data analysis, the percentage of categories that do not understand the concept is 41%, understand the concept is 14%, and the misconception is 43%. The results showed that students' understanding of the concept of static fluid is still relatively low. Most students assume that the amount of hydrostatic pressure is influenced by the shape of the container and the magnitude of the Archimedes force is influenced by the mass of the object being submerged and do not yet know the cause of objects floating and floating in a liquid, nor do they understand how the piston works based on Pascal's law. |
