Abstrak This study aims to analyze the difficulty of solving students' problems based on Polya's problem solving theory. The subjects in this study were students of class XI-3 Integrated High School Model Madani Palu, amounting to 25 people. Data obtained from essay test questions and interview results. From the test results obtained then analyzed the difficulty of solving students 'problems based on Polya's theory and obtained the results of students' difficulties at each Polya stage namely: (1) at the stage of understanding the problem students have difficulty in changing what is known and asked on questions into the form of physical symbols, and difficulty writing data that is known to the problem correctly. (2) at the planning stage of completion students have difficulty determining the formula used and there are some students who do not know the formula to be used. (3) at the implementation stage of solving students have difficulty in associating concepts with problems, students have difficulty when entering data into formulas, and in solving problems using mathematical calculations students are not careful when working on them. (4) at the stage of reviewing students do not check again and examine the steps carefully in the answers. Students also do not recheck the calculation and the calculation results are correct or not. |
