Abstrak
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by GeoGebra on the mathematical literacy skills of ninth-grade students on the material of spatial figures. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study involved all ninth-grade students in one of the junior high schools in Palu City, with samples selected using cluster random sampling techniques, namely class IX F as the experimental class and class IX I as the control class. Data collection was carried out through a descriptive test to measure students' mathematical literacy skills. Data analysis was carried out using an independent sample t-test and an N-gain test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.001, which means there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. The average N-gain in the experimental class was 0.48 which was included in the medium category, higher than the control class of 0.23 which was included in the low category. Thus, it can be concluded that the ProblemBased Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by GeoGebra is effective in improving students' mathematical literacy skills in spatial geometry material and can be an alternative in mathematics learning. keyword: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) , GeoGebra, mathematical literacy
