Abstrak The purpose of this study was to describe the application of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) that can improve the student learning outcomes of class VII B SMP Negeri 19 Palu on the topic of addition and substraction of algebraic forms. The study design refers to the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, which consists of four components: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The result of this study indicate that the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model can improve students learning outcomes on the topic of addition and substraction of algebraic forms through the following stages: (1) introduction stages, the teacher explains the activities to be carried out in each phase of the learning process and present the material, (2) thinkstage, the teacher provides a student worksheet (LKPD) related to the topic and asks students to think about answer the questions individually, (3) pair stage, the teacher asks students to join their pre- assigned groups and discuss their individual respons from the think phase, then agree on the correct answers, (4) share stage, the teacher invites several groups to present their discussion results to the class, (5) closing stage, the teacher and students together summarize the material that has been learned. |
