Abstrak Widya Ningrum. 2020. The Application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) to Improve Student Learning Outcomes on Coordinate System Materials in Class VIII B of MTs Al-Khairaat Pusat Palu. Skripsi. Mathematics Education Study Program Departement of Mathematics and Natural Sciense Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. This research aims to obtain description about the application of cooperative learning model of type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) to improve student learning outcomes on the material of Coordinate System in class VIII B MTs Al-Khairaat Pusat Palu. The subjects of research were students of class VIII B which amounted to 28 female students and three students were selected as informants. This research is Classroom Action Research which refers to the action research model of Suharsimi Arikunto namely (1) planning, (2) implementing actions and observations and (3) reflection. The result of the research showed that cooperative learning model TAI can improved the learning outcomes of VIII B on the material of coordinate system, by following the steps namely: 1) Delivering goals and motivating students, At this stage the researcher convey learning objectives to be achieved and motivate students by connecting the concepts to be learned in everyday life, 2) Presentation of information and individual learning, At this stage the researcher present material and provide sample questions to be discussed together and ask students to work on student worksheets individually, 3) Organizing student into study groups, At this stage the researcher instruct all students to join their groups of 5 to 6 students, 4) Guiding work and study groups, At this stage the researcher guiding study groups who are experiencing difficulties, 5) Evaluation, At this stage the researcher asked one group randomly to present the results of the group’s work and give a final test that must be done individually, 6) giving awards, At this stage the researcher give awards to students in the form of prizes, motivate students and appreciate their class spirit with applause. |
