Red Kidney beans are one of the legumes (Leguminoceae) belonging to the Fabaceae family, which are woody plants and do not have thorns on their stems. Shade is protection or shelter; shade in an agricultural context can be interpreted as a shelter or something that can protect plants from excessive sunlight. This research aims to describe the effect of different colored plastic shading on the growth of red kidney bean plants as a source of learning biology in the form of a practical guide. This research is experimental research with a completely randomized design (CRD) and data analysis using ANOVA with SPSS 22 software then continued with the LSD (Least Significance Different) test. The results of the research show that there is an effect of different colored plastic shading on growth including plant height, leaf color, number of leaves, and leaf width. The result that gives a significantly different effect on the plastic shade is the color of the transparent plastic.
