| Abstrak Novirianti, 2022. Types of Insect Pests on Cocoa Plants (Theobroma cacao L.) in Bengkoli Village, North Sojol Subdistrict, Donggala District, and its Use as Learning Media. The problem statement of this research is that what types of insect pests are found in cocoa plants (Theobroma cacao L.) in Bengkoli Village, North Sojol Subdistrict, Donggala District and whether the results of this research are suitable as a pocketbook learning media? This research aims to describe the types of insect pests found in cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) in Bengkoli Village, North Sojol Subdistrict, Donggala District and to produce a pocketbook that is suitable as media for learning biology. The method used was descriptive exploratory. This research was conducted in Bengkoli Village, North Sojol Subdistrict, Donggala District in February 2022. Sampling was carried out using a belt transect at 3 stations by purposive sampling. Insect Pest sampling technique was selected using Swep net method and Visual control using a belt transect at each station with 3 observations, namely morning, afternoon, and evening. The results of the research show that the types of insect pests on cocoa plants are7 types of pest insects, consisting of 4 ordo, 7 families, and 7 species, namely Valanga nigricornis, Glenea novemguttata, Apogonia sp. Zeuzera coffeae, Lamprosema indicata, Colobesthes falcata, and Planococcus citri. The resulting pocketbook is considered (Eligible) to be used as learning media from the results of the validation test by a team of content, media, and design experts as well as a student feasibility test with a cumulative percentage of eligibility of 76.15%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the types of insect pests found on cocoa plants in Bengkoli Village are 7 types and the pocketbooks are suitable to use as learning media.
