Abstrak
This research intends to determine the effect of the PBL model in biology learning towards learning outcomes in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Bolano Lambunu. This was quasi-experimental research using a posttest control group design. The sample of this research was class VIII A as the experimental class using the PBL model and class VIII B as the control class using the conventional learning model. The learning outcomes gained by students in the cognitive aspect were proven through posttest at the end of the lesson with the acquisition of the experimental class of 79.30 and the control class of 74.53. In the affective and psychomotor aspects, it was conducted by calculating the percentage of the student's observation sheet. The affective aspect of the experimental class was 84.51 and the control class was 78.80. In the psychomotor aspect, the experimental class was 84.24 and the control class was 79.35. Based on the data analysis, the percentage of the average value of student learning outcomes for the experimental class was 82 and the control class was 77. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model (PBL) has a significant influence on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Bolano Lambunu.
