Undergraduate Thesis of Biology Education Study Program, Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University. Supervised by Sutrisnawati and Achmad Ramadhan. Knowledge is closely related to education, knowledge about health is one of the knowledges gained from experience or education. This research aims to describe the relationship between education and knowledge of Community in Tomado and Olu villages about the prevention of schistosomiasis, and whether the results of this research are suitable for use as learning media in the form of a flipbook. This type of research was a quantitative with correlation test. There are 43 respondents in Tomado village and 43 respondents in Olu village involved in sample which selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and then analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test. The results of the research show that there is a weak relationship between education and knowledge of community regarding the prevention of schistosomiasis in Tomado and Olu villages, based on the range of correlations obtained, including weak correlations with values ??of 0.246 and 0.284. Learning media in the form of flipbooks is suitable for use as learning media with a percentage value of 80.26%. Keywords: Education, Knowledge, Prevention, Schistosomiasis |
