Sartina Hasim, 2021. “The effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic for the achievement of science learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Palu and SMPN 18 SPMI Palu Model”. Skripsi. Biology Education Study Program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Supervisor: Mestawaty. As. A. This study aims to explain the effectiveness in the implementation of online learning and to see the differences in science learning outcomes for students at SMPN 2 Palu and SMPN 18 SPMI Palu models in online learning. This type of research is descriptive exploratory research. The population in this study were all students of SMPN 2 Palu and all students of SMPN 18 Model SPMI Palu. The sample in this study amounted to 64 students consisting of 32 students of class VIII A SMPN 2 Palu and 32 students of class VIII A SMPN 18 SPMI Palu model with a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and student learning outcomes. The results of the effectiveness of online learning based on questionnaires distributed to students obtained a percentage of 74.89% at SMPN 2 Palu and a percentage of 76.60% at SMPN 18 SPMI Palu model, both of which were included in the criteria for being quite effective. Data analysis of student learning outcomes before the pandemic and during the pandemic at SMPN 2 Palu and SMPN 18 SPMI Palu was carried out by using a two-average difference test using a non-parametric statistical sign test (sign test). From testing the learning outcomes of SMPN 2 Palu, a significance value of 0.361 > 0.05 was obtained. Likewise, in testing the data on student learning outcomes of SMPN 18 SPMI Palu, a significance value of 0.584> 0.05 was obtained. The results of the two data tests show that the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMPN 2 Palu and SMPN 18 SPMI Palu was not effective. Data analysis of student learning outcomes of SMPN 2 Palu and student learning outcomes of SMPN 18 SPMI Palu model during the pandemic was carried out by using a two-average difference test using the Mann Whitney non-parametric statistical test. From the test, it was obtained a significance value of 0.907 > 0.05, which means that there is no difference in science learning outcomes for students of SMPN 2 Palu and students of SMPN 18 SPMI Palu Model in online learning.
