| Abstrak Black Curcuma (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) is known to contain saponins, flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols, and betel oils of 0.3-2% which are mosquito repellent compounds. This research aims to find out the effectiveness of black Curcuma extract (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) as a mosquito repellent Aedes aegypti and the utilization as a learning source. This research uses the experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and positive control (repellent) 16 times. The black Curcuma extract test (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) was used with the mosquito repellent efficacy method with the testing stage, namely applying the extract evenly to 3 probands, each treatment given from 25 female mosquitoes Aedes aegypti. The data were analyzed by ANOVA using the SPSS program version 25. The results of the research show that the protective power of the black Curcuma extract was the most effective in the concentration of 100% with a protective power value of 82.24%, the concentration of 75% has a protective power of 34.97%, the concentration 50% has a protective power of 27.15% and a concentration of 25% has a protective power of 16.66%. From these results, the most effective concentration in repelling mosquitoes is at a concentration of 100%. The results of this research are made a learning module with the category of feasible use, with an eligibility percentage of 72.94%. Keywords: Black Curcuma, Repellent, Mosquitoes (A. aegypti) |
