SMPN 1 Bungku, as one of the junior high schools in Morowali Regency, faces challenges in improving the quality of education. Based on the results of an internal evaluation, it was found that students still have difficulty in applying the knowledge they have gained to solve real problems. This indicates an urgent need to strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This research is a study that uses the 4-D model from Thiagarajan. The subjects of the pilot study were students of class IX A as many as 30 students. The implementation research subjects were class IXB students totaling 30 students. The device development process starts from the define stage and produces an initial design of the Learner Worksheet (LKPD) at the design stage. Furthermore, the Learner Worksheet (LKPD) was validated and tested at the development stage. Based on the results of research at the development stage (develop), LKPD is obtained which meets the criteria for valid, practical and effective aspects. Furthermore, implementation activities at the disseminasi stage. The results of the research in the implementation class showed that learning with the inquiry model had met the indicators of learning effectiveness, namely the teacher's ability to manage learning met at least good criteria, student responses to LKPD and learning activities were positive and students were classically complete. At the trial stage with 30 students, the score and n-gain of critical thinking skills were 0.54 and problem solving ability was 0.56. The results of this study indicate that the development of guided inquiry-based Learner Worksheets (LKPD) on crossing material in class IX SMP Negeri 1 Bungku, has met the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness. In addition, the development of this LPKD is able to improve critical thinking skills and improve students' problem solving abilities. Keywords: LKPD, critical thinking, problem solving |
