Pronunciation is a fundamental component of communicative competence in EFL learning, yet it remains one of the most neglected aspects in Indonesian junior high school classrooms. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of storytelling to improve the English pronunciation skills of Grade Eight students at SMPN 4 Bungku Selatan Satu Atap, Morowali. The preliminary assessment revealed a class average of 50, far below the Minimum Mastery Criteria of 75. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles involving 15 students durig the first semester 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through pronunciation tests, observation checklists, and field notes, and analyzed using the mean score. The results showed that the class average increased from 78.07 in Cycle I to 81.60 in Cycle II, with mastery percentage rising from 73.33% to 80%, fulfilling the mastery criteria. These findings contribute empirical evidence that storytelling, through meaningful context, repeated authentic pronunciation exposure, and a low-anxiety atmosphere, constitutes an effective and replicable instructional strategy for improving EFL pronunciation at the junior high school level.
