Abstrak This research aims to find out if the implementation of TPR can improve the vocabulary of the hearing-impaired students of SMPLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu and to show the implementation of TPR improve the vocabulary of the hearing-impaired students of SMPLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu. The researcher applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in one cycle which consisted of 3 meetings. The students of this research recruited from SMPLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu consisting of five students. The criteria of success individually applied in this research is 70. The result of vocabulary test in cycle 1 revealed that all of the hearing-impaired students passed scores? 70. It means that 100% of the students pass the criteria for success. The observation checklists and the field notes support the data, it shows that the vocabulary mastery of hearing-impaired students improve after the implementation of TPR with Pictures. The hearing-impaired students understand the instruction in English and memorize the vocabulary noun and action verb because they repeated the words many times to give command. They show their high participation and become more active in the class each meeting. Students’ motivation improved by competing to do teacher’s request and answer teacher’s question. Students’ comprehension improved by understanding their classmates and teachers’ instruction or command. Students’ enthusiasm improved by giving a ommand and respond the command enthusiastically, also joyful to be in English class. Students’ responses improved by responding to teacher and other’s command promptly. Students’ progress improved by spelling in sign language and translating the word correctly. During the action, the hearing-impaired students focused to the teachers’ explanation of the material and time to time grasp teachers’ instruction. Thus, it is proved that implementing TPR with Pictures is effective in improving the hearing-impaired students’ vocabulary mastery.
