Abstrak
ABSTRACT This study is about students’ perception of the implementation Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy in reading class. This research applied qualitative research design. The respondent of this research was the two classes of integrated reading and writing skill’s class in the first-semester. To collect the data, the researcher used observation and gave a close-ended questionnaire to the students. There are eight number of statements in the questionnaire that related to the implementation of LRD strategy, while a total number of the students as the respondent is 21. Data analysis in this research used data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/ verification. The result of research finding was from eight statement of questionnaire two of them gave low responses for the statement, almost of them chose “agree” and “strongly agree” or high responses for every statement in the questionnaire. The main result of this research that used the strategy repeatedly, it helped the teacher face several problems from the students, and these also motivated students to have the courage to appear in front of the class because the teacher are used to using this strategy in every meeting.
