"Comparing Students' Achievements Between Online and Offline English Learning at SMA Negeri 1 Sidoan Parigi Moutong" Thesis, English Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, under the supervision of Mocthar Marhum and Darmawan. This study aims to find out the difference in students' achievements between online and offline English learning and the factors that affect students' achievements in English learning at SMA Negeri 1 Sidoan Parigi Moutong. This study used a mixed-method research approach (quantitative and qualitative research) by using a sequential explanatory design to find answers to the problems in this study. The sample in the study was selected using a purposive sampling technique in which grade XI MIA 1 became the sample in this study, which consisted of 28 students. The data were analyzed statistically using the dependent sample t-test from students' semester scores. The result showed that the students' mean score for online learning is 75.00, while for offline learning is 78.93. So, the student's achievement in offline learning is higher than in online learning. There are two factors that affect students' English learning achievement: student interaction during the learning process and learning facilities. The seven problems that students often face when learning English in the classroom. They are less cohesive, lack attention, are less motivated by the teacher, use their mother tongue in communicating, have limitations of supporting facilities in learning, and are difficult and lazy to learn English. These results suggest that there is a difference between student achievement in online and offline English learning. Keywords: Students' Achievement, Online Learning, Offline learning |
