Abstrak
This research aims to analyze how English teachers apply assessment methods to assess their students' learning processes and achievement in Palu during the Covid-19 pandemic. It employed discourse analysis with semi-structured interviews. The result showed that teachers used performance assessments and portfolio assessments. It is assessed by evaluating students' daily tasks, assignments, oral questions, and student videos submitted via online media such as WhatsApp, google classroom, and evaluating through Google Meeting during the conference with students. Although the method can be used to assess students online, teachers face numerous challenges when implementing it, including internet connectivity and student pulse data allocation. However, the outcome of a teacher's assessment of a student appears to be subjective because the teacher can influence the outcome.
