This thesis is titled “Exploring the Influence of Audience Size on Student Anxiety During Classroom Presentation.” Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Department of Language and Art Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Darmawan and Andi Wahyudin. ?The aim of this research is to explore how audience size affects students’ anxiety levels during classroom presentations. This study employed a qualitative descriptive design, using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to collect data. The participants were sixth-semester students from the English Education Study Program at Tadulako University. The findings revealed that most students experienced higher anxiety when presenting in front of large audiences due to fear of judgment and increased pressure. However, small audiences also caused anxiety in some cases due to the feeling of being closely observed. Other influencing factors included the presence of lecturers, level of preparedness, and familiarity with the audience. Students used various strategies to manage their anxiety, such as practicing beforehand, relying on peer support, and using brief notes. The study concludes that audience size significantly influences students' public speaking anxiety and recommends that educators create a more supportive learning environment to help students overcome their anxiety during presentations.
