| Abstrak Olva Greizela Sudamara (A12121240). Students’ Perception On the Use of Animated Movie in Speaking Lessons of Seven Graders of SMP Negeri 2 Lembo. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Mochtar Marhum and Andi Patmasari. This study aims to investigate the perceptions of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Lembo regarding the use of animated movies in speaking lessons. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through questionnaires and interviews. This research involved 10 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Lembo. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 20 statements, as well as in-depth interviews with 4 students to enrich the findings. The result showed that students had a positive perception of using animated movies in speaking lessons. They felt that animated movies helped increase their motivation and interest in learning speaking, as well as improved their English speaking skills. Additionally, students found that animated movies made speaking lessons more enjoyable and interactive. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable information for teachers and schools in developing more effective and engaging speaking learning strategies for students.
