English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Faculty Teacher Training and Education, tadulako University. Under the supervision of Anjar Kusuma Dewi and Andi Patmasari. The aims of this research is to find out whether the use of the LRD strategy can improve the reading comprehension of grade seven students at SMP Negeri 10 Palu. This research uses a pre-experimental research design which only uses one class, namely the experimental group. The population in this study is seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Palu, totaling 65 students. The sample for this research is 32 students in class VII Ketapang. The sample is selected using the purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique is a test that includes a pre-test and a post-test. This study demonstrates that the Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy can improve the reading comprehension of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Palu, as indicated by the increase in the average score from 56.33 (pre-test) to 87.44 (post-test), resulting in a 31.11- point difference.
