| Abstrak ABSTRACT Rahmawati (A12121118). The Effectiveness of Educational Videos in Improving Vocabulary Mastery at SMP Negeri 16 Palu. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Language and Art Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University. Under the Supervisor of Abdul Kamaruddin and Maf’ulah. This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of educational videos in improving vocabulary mastery at SMP Negeri 16 Palu. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The population of this study consisted of all eighth-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 129 students. The sample were VIII C as experimental class and VIII E as the control class. The research instrument consist of pre-test and post-test containing various forms of vocabulary exercises. The collected data were analyzed using a normality test, homogeneity test and independent sample t-test through the SPSS 24 program. The results show that mean score of experimental class student on the post-test was 70.27 which is greater than that of control class 58.93. The significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) is 0.001, which is lower than 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (H?) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H?) is accepted. It can be concluded that the implementation of educational videos, such as animated videos is effective in improving the vocabulary mastery at SMP Negeri 16 Palu.
