Abstrak This research focuses into the effectiveness of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) method for developing the speaking skills of tenth-grade culinary arts students at SMK Negeri 1 Palu. This research used a quasi-experimental design with two types of groups: experimental and control. The experimental group received treatment by implementing the Think-Pair-Share method, while the control group was taught using conventional method. Pre-tests and post-tests were used to assess students' speaking skills in terms of accuracy, fluency, and comprehensibility. The results revealed that Think-Pair- Share method significantly improved students' speaking skills, as seen by a mean score increase in the experimental group from 40.15 to 51.50. The Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05), indicating that Think-Pair-Share improves speaking skills. The data indicate that Think-Pair-Share is a successful cooperative learning technique that increases student engagement, reduces speaking fear, and improves communicative competence in English.
