Abstrak This research aims to find out if using Shadowing Technique is effective in improving students pronounciation of grade seven students of SMP Negeri 3 Palu. This research applied quasi-experimental design consisting of experimental and control groups. The sample of this research was selected by a cluster random sampling technique, involving two classes in the seven grade students, with amount 62 students of XII G and XII I. The instruments of this research was a test which was given to research sample as pre-test and post-test. After analyzing the data, the results of data analysis shows that there is significant difference between post-test results of experimental and control groups. The result of the data analysis showed that the t-counted value (11.38) was greater than t-table (1.671) applying 0.05 level significance and 31 + 31 – 2 degree of freedom (df). It means Using Shadowing Technique is effective in improving students pronounciation of grade seven students of SMP Negeri 3 Palu. |
