Abstrak objective of this research is to find out whether the use of TikTok application, can increasing the vocabulary mastery of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Palu. This research used a pre-experimental design that consisted of one class. The samples of this research were the grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Palu; MIPA 2 with 35 students was selected by using purposive sampling. The data was collected by administering a vocabulary test which consisted of a pretest and posttest that conducted at the first and last meeting. The result of the experimental class on pretest is 43.52. The result of the posttest is 76.19. By applying 0.05 level of significance the researcher found that the value of the t- counted (20.29) is higher than the t-table (2.032). In conclusion, the use of TikTok application can increase vocabulary mastery of grade XI students. Based on these results, it can be interpreted that TikTok applicayion can be applied by the teachers in teaching and learning process as one of the effective learning media to increase students' vocabulary mastery. |
