| Abstrak ABSTRACT Tanti Sepriana (A12120134). “Using POSSE (Predict, Organize, Search, Summarize, Evaluate) Strategy to Improve Reading Comprehension of Grade Ten Students of SMA NEGERI 7 PALU” Skripsi. English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, under the Supervisor of Jamiluddin and Hastini. The objective of this research is to find out if POSSE (Predict, Organize, Search, Summarize, Evaluate) strategy can improve reading comprehension of grade ten students of SMA NEGERI 7 PALU. The method used in this research was quasi experimental research design. The researcher used two classes, one experimental and one control. In the experimental class consisted of 36 students and in the control class consisted of 35 students. The researcher used pre-test and Post-test to collecting data. The data were analyzed using paired sample t-test assisted SPSS application version 29 for windows. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that using POSSE (Predict, Organize, Search, Summarize, Evaluate) strategy was effective to improve students’ reading comprehension of grade ten students of SMA NEGERI 7 PALU. This proven from the result of analyze paired sample t-test that the value of significance (2-tailed) was 0.001 < 0.05, which mean there is a significant difference in the students learning outcomes for the pre-test and post-test.
