Abstrak Wanda, 2024. Improving Pronunciation Ability Of grade Seven Students of SMPN 16 Palu Through Homophone Game. Skripsi English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education, Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University, under supervision of Abd. Kamaruddin and Andi Patmasari. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of homophone game can enhance students’ pronunciation abilities. To achieve this goal, a quasi-experimental approach was employed, employing pre-test and post-test evaluations as assessment tools. Researcher utilized cluster random sampling to select a sample of 31 students. The collected test data was then analyzed using a statistical test outlined in Ari Kunto (2013) methodology. Pronunciation test was administered before and after the treatment, termed as pre-test and post-test, respectively. The result indicated that the mean score for the pre-test was 47.74, while the mean score for the post-test was 76.77. statistically analysis using the t-test formula revealed that the calculated t- value (12.41) exceeded the critical t-value (1.670) at a significance level of 0.05, with 20 degrees of freedom (df) calculated as 63. The implication of these findings suggests improve students’ pronunciation skills. Keywords: Improving; Pronunciation; Homophone Game |
