This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Picture Walk Strategy in improve the reading comprehension of tenth-grade students of MAN 1 Palu. This research used a quasi-experimental research design applied, each consisting of 18 students. The experimental group which received treatment using Picture Walk, and the control group which received conventional methods. Each group consisted of 18 students of class D as an Experimental group and 18 students of class A as a control group. Data were collected through the reading test that consisted of pre-test and post-test. The findings reveal a significant improvement in the reading scores of the experimental group. The mean score increased from 47.5 (pre-test) to 91.39 (post-test), while the control group increased from 56.67 to 79.72. Statistical analysis using the t-test shows that t-counted (169,4) was greater than t-table (1,6918) at the 0.05 significance level, indicating a statistically significant difference. These results suggest that the Picture Walk effectively enhances students’ reading comprehension by increasing engagement, vocabulary understanding, and motivation.
