Abstrak
ABSTRACT Septia Puspita Sari (2024). "Improving Reading Comprehension of the Tenth-Grade Students at Man 1 Palu Through the Use of Sticky Notes Strategy". Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Language and Arts Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University, under the guidance of Jamilluddin and Hasna. This research aims to determine if using Sticky Notes can develop the reading comprehension of tenth-grade students of MAN 1 Palu. This research used a quasi-experimental research design. The population of this research was the tenth-grade students of MAN 1 Palu. The sample was selected using the cluster sampling technique. The sample of this research was 38 students, which were divided into 19 students of class H as an experimental group and 19 students of class I as a control group. The data were collected through the reading test that consisted of pre-test and post-test. By applying the 0.05 level significance, the researcher found that the sig value obtained (p) was lower than alpha (a) (0,000<0,05) It means that the hypothesis is accepted or descriptive text can develop reading comprehension of grade tenth students of MAN 1 Palu. This research implies that the use of sticky notes increases students' literacy, makes learning more enjoyable, and boosts their activeness and engagement in the learning process.
