Mertosono. This study aims to determine whether Contextual Teaching and Learning can enhance the writing abilities of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The researcher implemented a quasi-experimental design and selected the sample through a random sampling method. The instruments for data collection were a pre-test and a post-test. The pre-test was used to measure the students' basic skills, while the post-test assessed their improvement in writing ability after the treatment was applied. The collected data was statistically analyzed using SPSS 23. With a significance level of 0.050 and a degree of freedom of 52, the researcher found that the p-value was lower than the chosen alpha level (0.001 < 0.050). This indicates that the hypothesis is accepted, confirming that the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning improves the writing ability of the eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The implications of these findings were that the CTL method enhanced students' writing skills, leading to greater participation in discussions and increased engagement in critical and creative thinking.
