Abstrak Nurdia (A12120030). This Skripsi entitled “The Implementation of Dictogloss Technique in Improving Listening Comprehension of the Eighth-Grade Students of MTs Negeri 2 Parigi”. English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University, under the supervision of (1) Aminah and (2) Desrin. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using the dictogloss technique in improving the listening comprehension of eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 2 Parigi. This research used quasi-experimental research design with two classes designated as a control class and the experimental class. The participant in this research was eighth grade students. In collecting data, researcher used pretest and posttest. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 23. The results showed that the mean score of posttest of students in the experimental class (53.83) was higher than the mean score in the control class (42.22). Based on the results of independence sample t-test, the sig (2 tailed) value (0.000) was less than 0.050. This shows that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. While means, the Dictogloss technique is effective in improving the listening comprehension of the eighth grade of students at MTs Negeri 2 Parigi. |
