Gina Cindana, (A 121 20 023). “The Use of Two Stay Two Stray Technique to Increase Reading Comprehension of The Eleventh Grade Students’ of SMA Negeri 1 Balaesang”. Skripsi. English Education study program, Language and Arts Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, under the supervision Syahrul Munir and Afrillia Anggreni. This research aims to find out whether or not the Two Stay Two Stray Technique can increase the reading comprehension of the eleventh-grade students’ of SMA Negeri 1 Balaesang. This research sample was 65 students, divided into 32 students of class XI MIA 3 as the experimental group and 33 students of class XI MIA 1 as the control group. The data were collected through the reading test that consisted of pre-test and post-test. After conducting the treatment, the data indicates that the experimental class showed improvement in their reading comprehension compared to the control group. By applying 0.05 level of significance, it can be seen that the tcounted (6.30) is higher than the ttable (1.670). It means that the hypothesis was accepted or Using Two Stay Two Stray Technique can increase Reading Comprehension of The Eleventh Grade Students’ of SMA Negeri 1 Balaesang. The implication of this research is that the teachers should use Two Stay Two Stray to students' motivation and focus on the important parts by emphasising social interaction through small working groups.
